When activity level or the outside temperature increase, Outlast "Thermocule" molecules in the Outlast thread change from a solid to a liquid - absorbing body heat and creating a sense of thermal equilibrium.
When your body begins to cool down or outside temperatures drop, Outlast thermocules revert back from a liquid to a solid and return absorbed heat energy - previously stored in the liquified Outlast material - to the rider. The result is a garment that keeps you riding comfortably in a more mild range of temperatures.
